Minesweeper Rush, originally published as Minesweeper Tetris before the creator received a letter informing them that the name was in violation of Tetris copyright, is a free steam game that features an infinitely generating minesweeper board which clear a row each time either all mines or all safe spaces are identified. If the board reaches the top of the screen, your game is over (the Tetris element).

I am pretty good.

When Minesweeper Rush released, the leaderboards from Minesweeper Tetris didn’t get ported over, and so the field was open for an enterprising player to snag top spots on the leaderboard. I did so.

On May 13th 2025, I claimed a short-lived top spot in the Hard game mode category.

On June 9th, 2025, I managed to snag top spot in the Medium difficulty category.

Though by then I had lost the top spot in the difficult category.

As for the easy category, I never made it to the top, and descended from 3rd to 6th from May 19th through June 9th.

As of writing (December 25th, 2025), my standings are as follows:

Easy: Seventh
Medium: Second
Hard: Third

22 - Distracted

And so it’s fin’lly got me out
A new evolution
To take my time and steal it far
A massive distraction

Click and click until the row is gone
To think it’s come to this
I’ve hit the dopamine gold mine
With minesweeper Tetris
