To live a simple kind of life
Upon a distant hill
And look upon a sunrise and
Hear all the songbirds trill

A cabin in the mountains high
Perched up against a peak
With burblin’ brook and crisp cool air
Is what I truly seek

The calm of isolation there
Where all terrain is tall
Is what is meant to make one know
That every man is small

And higher still the further hills
Engage the prideful mind
For though the summit may be high
There’s higher still to find
