We took a rocket for a ride
Along to outer space
To see the moon and stars and such
While searching for a place

Where all was peace and all was life
And birds would sweetly sing
A place to build the steeples tall
Where loud brass bells could ring

We went around the nebulae
And found no distant home
No matter where we looked for it
However far we roamed

But then we looked upon the Earth
That marble green and blue
And knew we’d found the only place
Where I could be with you
