What is the burden man must bear
To save a brother’s heart?
What must he say and do to keep
A soul un-ripped apart?

Can a man lie to mend a break?
Destroy a sister’s love?
Can he behold a sinking friend
From boat pushed with a shove?

The burden that the man must hold
He will not ever share
The weight of loss is his alone
He feels it in his very bone
For if the tale were ever shown
His lie would be laid bare
And so that truth remains his own
Remains on Tangier
