I try to stay on law’s good side
And not commit a crime
But even so I do things that
Can land me some jail time
Take for example today’s bus
On homeward bound return
I opened up a bag of snacks
And thought to myself “durn”
‘Cause eating on metro’s a crime
It violates statute
I quickly put my food away
And shame I felt acute
