I am the beekeeper, keeper of bees
My first hive I found, high up in the trees
The next one I crafted, with painstaking care
Brand new bee homes, my insect’s safe lair

I am the beekeeper, keeper of bees
And care for them I do, without any fees
I give them their flowers, and homes in a nest
And ask only for honey, as they will attest

I am the beekeeper, keeper of bees
A few simple habits are happiness’ keys
Wake up in the morning prepared for the day
And water the flowers, and watch the bees play

I am the beekeeper, keeper of bees
Live happily I do, but not always in ease
Six-legged companions, whose lives I protect
The treasures of hard work, they help me collect

I am the beekeeper, keeper of bees
And in all that I do, I hope, God, to please
Cause whether you’re giant or average or small
That’s what we’re here for, that counts most of all
