I visited a house today
Where legislators meet
We spent the morn’ explorin’ there
To see it was a treat
Once through security we’d walked
The building we could roam
We saw the Senate and the House
But not Governor Noem
Her office door said walk on in
We entered her abode
But her receptionist told us
Our Gov’nors on the road
Other than that it was quiet
As I wandered the halls
Stopping at times to admire
The murals on the walls
Compared to other capitols
It had good parking space
And I would say that overall
It was a real swell place
So if you’re ever in Pierre
Just take an hour or two
To visit the ole’ Capitol
And maybe with a lucky roll
You’ll see the Gov’nor too
