In preparation for my move
To return to college
I cleaned my room and found something
That kept me off the edge
That backup that I thought I had
(Twas mentioned on Thursday)
Was taken from a phone I have
And maintain to this day
Upon that phone I have my texts
Til 2022
And so my loss of history
Is the past year or two
This find was a surprise to me
But twas a welcome one
The moral of the story’s this:
Always get backups done
In other news my cleaning has
A lot of dust stirred up
And with all that stuff in the air
My allergies act up
So now I’m sneezing quite a lot
As I clear off my shelves
I’ve found some things hid in the depths
Where I don’t often delve
Some candy from two years ago
A stack of office stuff
A pile of six month’s worth of mail
And pens (more than enough)
I found some books, I found that phone
Food past its best by date
The cleaning was a welcome change
Though it has come quite late
‘Cause now I’ve got to pack my things
And to college migrate
