The clouds obscure the winter sun
They block out brilliant light
Prevent illumination raining down
In darkness land feels blight

The dawn is muted in the haze
The sunrise colors fade
And rain is coating chilly paths
And blotting out parade

But when the forces of the sun
Will muster their full might
They’ll put the doom to blocked out skies
And send the clouds to flight

Be free and joyful all the land
Rejoice and bask in rays
Of warmth and brightness in the world
To fill the rest of days

So do not fret about your life
Your worries cast aside
For Christ is reigning, King of all
And death itself has died

While we may see a thunderstorm
We know it will be done
We’ll weather every obstacle
And wait to see the Son
