Although I try to get work done
There comes a point in time
Alarms go off and I cannot
Remain to make a rhyme
This shouldn’t happen frequently
Today it’s happened twice
And though I love my doormates much
The things I said? Not nice
They interrupt my sleep at night
They interrupt my chores
They take the ninety people here
And bring them out of doors
And so I ask for my own sake
That would you please just not
Decide that 1 AM is when you need
To cook up something hot
