A tiny bump, a moment’s flight
A rumble then all things set right
As trains traverse the tracks at night
The only thing that is alight

The near full moon has hid its face
As contours of the land are traced
But sometime soon it will replace
The dim that now pervades this place

The dim and dark of world go by
And shallow winds so softly sigh
Perhaps to push us on they try
As further down the tracks we fly
