Imagine waiting all your life
To see a savior come
Then you are told that day’s soon here
In doubt you are struck dumb
Or waiting in the temple say
You work for all your days
And then one day the Child comes
To leave you in amaze
A prophetess awaits for years
At work in sacred place
Only to look upon the One
With infant smiling face
The joy in that one moment’s time
That overwhelms all doom
That caps a life with matchless joy
And wipes away all gloom
