It took a couple weeks to get
The application done
But now that I’ve completed it
I get to have some fun
The rec letters are in the thing
And short answers as well
My resume is all complete
And looking rather swell
I note that I’m a citizen
That’s working authorized
And I have put home address
And more info besides
So we will see how these things go
And time itself will tell
If application takes me far
Or doesn’t go so well
