A home away from home is where
Your roots can burrow down
Where you can take a lazy day
Or go out on the town

It isn’t just a place to sleep
A glorified hotel
It’s somewhere that you know and love
The sight and feel and smell

It’s where you put your family pics
In frames up on the wall
And where you know what spring is like
And summer, winter, fall

A place to eat and love and laugh
A place where you have friends
A place that you will go for more
Than sleep when day will end

I have that place at Liberty
And not Airbnb
But I will not complain today
Not everywhere that I will stay
No not that bed where now I lay
Must be a home to me
