It’s been three years since we last met
In Colorado peaks
But we returned to Texas house
To meet again this week
The Gorman-Alger family
Has grown in decades past
But the reunion has maintained
Tradition that will last
The family tree took six whole sheets
Of paper to compile
A bit larger than it had looked
If made in first year’s style
The house would buzz with chatter loud
And food was plenteous
The babies moved throughout the floor
And sometimes made a fuss
We played some cards and volleyball
And saw a baseball game
Went to museum for the men
Of militant acclaim
But most of all we had some time
To be with family
Who we might otherwise forget
And certainly not see
