I’ve had a couple days to rest
So now it’s time to go
Return to work and hit the grind
No longer take it slow
They changed the buses yesterday
So I will now adjust
To find out how the system works
As I’m, toward DC, bussed
The times are new and so’s the route
Or maybe it’s the same
Perhaps I’m making a big deal
Out of something that’s lame
But we will see; tomorrow comes
And if I do get lost
At least I’ll write about the time
And how much sane it cost
I really am going to miss the 17K. I’ve been riding that thing for the past three years (though two summers ago, it was mostly the VRE). I would have used it to get to Heritage too, but the yellow line was closed that spring so I didn’t.
God bless the yellow line for providing such a useful time save. The bus routes may change, but the metro lines won’t.
