A year ago I lost my ‘buds
In tragic accident
And so the music ceased to play
My joy did take a dent
My sadness was so terrible
I knew not what to do
It wasn’t metro’s fault so I
Could not go out and sue
I couldn’t blame the drivers, no
Nor blame the bus design
There was nowhere to put it so
I blamed myself, resigned
But then I got another pair
And now they’re working fine
But somewhere out there are my ‘buds
Out on a metro line
