A year ago today I went
To go to Liberty
After a summer filled with fun
In Washington DC
But one thing that stuck out to me
Was all the dysfunction
That office faced throughout that time
With our ventilation
The air conditioning would break
We’d think we had it fixed
But then once more the text rang out
Our office time is nixed
The sauna was a running gag
That I would write about
But this blest year the thing would work
Of that I had no doubt
Until today when once again
The AC unit turned
And didn’t output chilly air
So work-from-home returned
But this time it was just a day
To make some ductwork tweaks
Because we needed to repair
Some stubborn water leaks
So come the morn I’m going back
To brave the summer day
And see if it will work once more
Or home I should have stayed
