The sunrise is wonderous thing
September dawns with light
But though the sun is shining it
Is cold albeit bright
I want to note that I still want
A couple weeks of heat
Before the chill’s upon the air
Accompanied by sleet
And sweatshirt weather, though it’s nice
Can come when midterms do
Instead of speedrunning the frost
And also spread of flu
Consider this, while sun still sets
At seven forty-five
Thermometer should rightly stay
In places where I thrive
But maybe morrow’s winds will bring
Another toasty day
If that’s the case, please stare at me
And “you were wrong” then say
