A world filled with tragedy
Will make you want to mope
But even on the darkest day
There still remains our hope
When darkness takes a victory
And purities alloy
When blood runs through the shadowed streets
Remains our source of joy
For arms of love stretched out one day
On hard wood of the cross
And evil thought it triumphed then
But faced a final loss
Take heart in times of strife and pain
For tears will soon be dried
The mansions built for martyrs’ homes
For all the saints who’ve died
Despair has nothing left to grasp
Death’s power is no more
Though sun went out in bright of day
The temple curtain tore
We mourn and grieve and weep and gnash
But even so still hear
Because He rose up from the grave
We’ve nothing left to fear
