The cold is in my very bones
I cannot feel my ears
But everything is frozen still
When seen from way up here
The slopes are covered, iced on top
The streetlamps gently glow
And into chilly ice you hear
The water’s gentle flow
The lake is partly solid but
The surface isn’t thick
And walkers should be cautious ere
They fall in very quick
But temporary as it is
It has its beauty too
In moonlight and the chilly air
Where everything is true
