I woke up to a screaming noise
Though muffled through the floor
Confused I looked with hazy eyes
To check about my door
The yelling was so distant that
I questioned: is it real
But then the shrillness of alarm
My ears began to feel
The voice of resident assistant rang
In murky bursts of sound
Enough to keep my head awake
My sleepy mind confound
And then the echoes die away
The silence has returned
Explain what happened last night please?
For I have nothing learned
