Debate topic dropped today. It’s labor. Shout-out to the K debaters for voting for it because they saw a word they recognized from their blocks1 and the policy debaters voting for it because they somehow think they’ll win an econ advantage when the uniqueness is shot, the immediate effect of the plan will be to make the economy worse, and their best impact cards will probably not distinguish short and long-term collapses.
(I’m a bit pessimistic about the ground lol)

This isn’t totally fair because there are plenty of communist sympathizers out there who want to use unions to achieve their goals and the literature is probably genuinely interesting, but also, if we’re being honest, that was definitely the impetus behind some votes. (but seriously, my gut instinct says that K flavored solvency turns/takeouts are going to be really interesting and potentially fun) ↩
