In sickness and in health my love
Until death do us part
For richer or for poorer dear
I promise you my heart

For better or for worse I vow
No matter rain or shine
No matter if the cake is wet
And soggy we must dine

In having and in holding you
I will not loosen grip
No matter if the ground is damp
I will not let you slip

I vow to love and cherish you
Defend you from the hail
I shall not ever stray from you
Lord do not let me fail

I’ll stay by you in drought and drench
In torrid and torrent
For from this day, I’ll be with you
Until our lives are spent

In my mind, this was supposed to be a groom giving his vows right as a rainstorm started and slowly panicking and introducing highly relevant water elements, but it turned into the vows of someone who just really likes rain metaphors. 🤷‍♂️
