I’ve made it all the way back home
From distant lands afar
The travels finished for a while
No longer in a car

The roof above my head is real
No longer made of tent
And dinners come off of our grill
My money is not spent

The plates on cars are those I know
My passport is away
And where I’ll go tomorrow is
The same as today

I’m glad to have returned back here
For a just a bit of time
To catch my breathe and reason too
And maybe even rhyme
