Standing above the evil lord
Beren with supernatural sword
Decided not to try to slay
The darkness that despised the day
And sought instead to free
Another of the Silmarils three
But were one wiser in his spot
He might have left the blood to blot
Out future evils ere they came
And done more than leave Morgoth lame
