The arguments for AI existential risk are compelling, but the Christian has faith that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church (which seems implied by the extinction of humankind). This doesn’t mean that there is no reason to worry. The method of preventing catastrophe may come from a Christian, and failure to care may lead to a far worse outcome than Christians locking in on the problem.
