Building on 25-11-19 - Book Club
I think that this could be a fun idea. Classics book club/accountability group where we read some of the great books has a lot of potential. If you’re interested, please let me know. I think we could do one book over winter break virtually, and then two or three books in the spring semester.
Here are a few titles that are options off the top of my head and in no particular commitment or order:
- Pride and Prejudice
- A Christmas Carol - short, maybe over one or two weeks
- A Tale of Two Cities
- The Red Badge of Courage
- Huckleberry Finn
- The Ballad of the White Horse
- At the Back of the North Wind
- Dracula
- Little Women
- Pilgrim’s Progress
- Lord of the Rings
- Till We Have Faces
I have read some of these and not others. I mean to read all of them eventually.
I would put more George MacDonald on here, but not everyone is as willing as I am to learn a passing understanding of Scots, and English translations aren’t free
